The training, led by the University Hospital of Lyon, had the purpose to present a set of good practices and encourage discussions among the Network members. The purpose of the training was to discuss appropriate activities, processes and organizational methods to better answer to cross-border patients’ specific needs, previously identified through a questionnaire collecting Network members’ experiences with cross-border patients.
A good practice guide was produced and will be finalised at the beginning of 2015, once further inputs will be collected from Network’s members.
In addition, the process of realization of the HoNCAB Network of Hospitals was fostered by the election of the Management Board, which main role is to take strategic decisions relevant to the missions and objectives of the Network of Hospitals. It also evaluates the entry of new members into the Network.
The Management Board is composed by three hospitals members of the Network plus the European Hospital and Healthcare Federation (HOPE) as secretariat. The elected members are:
▪ University Hospital of Lyon (France)
▪ University Hospital of Verona (Italy)
▪ KABEG – Landeskrankenhaus Villach (Austria)
