Impact of information on patients’ choice within the context of the Directive – Report

The Consumers, Health, Agriculture and Food Executive Agency (CHAFEA), acting on behalf of the European Commission (DG SANTE) commissioned Ipsos and London Economics to undertake a study on the impact of information on patients’ choice in the context of the Directive.

The aim of the study was to identify key drivers of travelling to another Member State for a medical treatment, as well as pointing out possible lacks of information that restrain patients’ access to cross-border healthcare
